Tap Scan on the home screen and point the camera at the page. Paperkeep finds the edges and straightens the page for you. Keep adding pages before you tap done to save them all as one document.
Yes. Tap Photos above the Scan button and pick up to 20 images. They are saved as one document and get the same text reading, sorting and search as a scan.
The scanner is provided by Google Play services. Make sure Google Play services is installed and up to date, and connect to the internet once so it can finish setting up. After that, scanning works offline.
The camera screen is run by Google Play services on Paperkeep's behalf, so the app itself never needs camera access.
Type in the search box on the home screen. Paperkeep searches the words inside your scans, not just their titles, and matches the beginning of words, so insur finds insurance.
Text reading works best on flat, well-lit, sharp pages. It currently supports Latin-script languages such as English, French, Spanish and German. Handwriting and other scripts may not be read. You can copy any text that was found with the Copy button under each page.
Categories are a best guess. To change one, long-press the document on the home screen or tap its category label, then pick the right one. You can do the same from the document's own screen.
Open it and tap the pencil icon at the top.
To avoid mistaking a purchase or issue date for an expiry date, Paperkeep only reads a date that sits next to a label such as Expiry, Valid until, Due, Renewal or Best before. Dates like 01/02/2026 are read day first (1 February).
Open the document and tap the PDF icon at the top, then choose where to save it.
Single-page PDFs are always free. PDFs with two or more pages are free three times a day. After that you can watch a short ad to export that document without a watermark, now and every time after, or export straight away with a small "Made with Paperkeep" note in the corner. The daily limit resets at midnight.
Open the document and use the arrows on each page to move it up or down, or the bin icon to delete that page.
In Paperkeep's private storage on your phone. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them, so make a backup first if they matter to you.
Open the menu and tap Back up to a file, choose a password, then pick where to save the file: your phone, Google Drive or another storage app. To keep a copy in your Google account instead, open Profile and connect Google.
We are sorry, but it cannot be recovered or reset, by us or anyone else. The backup is encrypted on your phone before it is saved, and the password is never stored. That is what keeps it unreadable to anyone else. Make a new backup with a password you will remember.
Install Paperkeep, open the menu and tap Restore from a file, or use Profile if you backed up to your Google account. Restoring adds documents that are not already on the phone and never creates duplicates.
No. Everything works without signing in. Connecting Google only lets you keep your encrypted backup in the cloud.
Open Profile and tap Delete account. That removes your cloud backup and your sign-in, and leaves the documents on your phone alone. To remove those too, use Settings → Delete all documents. See also account deletion.
Tap Settings → Send feedback, or email contact@webvogue.in. Bug reports and ideas are both welcome.
